Job Summary

Lead the technical direction of Komodo Health's core platform (KMC/PSS, App Builder + Connector), ensuring reliability, security, cost-efficiency, and ease of build. Partner with Product, FDE, and customer-facing teams to translate onboarding and platform requirements into robust, well-documented systems. Drive self-service onboarding at scale and expand the platform surface area to make data and services more accessible for 150+ clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and evolve platform primitives (authentication/authorization, subscriptions, orgs/accounts) and ensure secure, scalable multi-tenant design.
•Collaborate with product, forward-deployed engineers, and customer-facing teams to translate onboarding and platform requirements into robust, well-documented systems.
•Develop and maintain secure, reliable API endpoints and platform services, addressing deployment challenges and reducing maintenance burden.
•Define and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability; participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
•Escalate and triage cross-system incidents across KMC, Connector, and App Builder to protect customer experience and platform reliability.

•Expert-level backend engineering experience with Python + FastAPI; building and operating APIs and microservices at scale
•Proven track record designing core platform primitives (authentication, orgs/accounts, subscriptions) in a multi-tenant SaaS environment
•Profound experience with AWS core services and architecting secure, scalable, cost-efficient solutions
•Familiarity with modern data platforms and observability tools (Snowflake, Airflow, Spark; metrics/logs/traces) and distributed systems
•Ability to design solutions balancing performance, cost, maintainability, reliability, and developer experience
