Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures; follow safety and hygiene regulations.
  • •Provide analyses by following established procedures, recognizing problems as they arise and correcting them.
  • •Work across multiple sections to meet changing work requirements and priorities.
  • •Perform routine and assigned quality control tasks to maintain accuracy of results.
  • •Enter results into LIMS and report unusual conditions directly to customers; support training, method development, and special projects under direction of a Senior Technician.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 45.9 - 46.81 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Certificate of efficiency in Assaying, or a graduate of a two-year chemical sciences program (or equivalent).
  • •B.Sc. in Chemistry with a minimum of three years’ analytical experience in a full-service metallurgical testing laboratory (or equivalent).
  • •Ability to follow established analytical procedures and recognize/correct problems during testing.
  • •Ability to perform routine and assigned quality control tasks to maintain accuracy of results.
  • •Ability to use analytical and assaying knowledge to train other technicians and trainees.
