Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the day-to-day activities of local/regional project management teams to deliver Substation and/or Transmission Line projects across the Midwest Region.
  • •Provide project lifecycle oversight (proposal, planning/startup, execution, reporting, closeout) with quality standards that meet or exceed corporate/client delivery expectations.
  • •Act as a project management subject matter expert and champion for internal standards and addressing project management challenges.
  • •Lead recruiting and retention efforts by interviewing candidates and making recommendations, and oversee employee reviews for direct reports.
  • •Oversee project reporting and client communications on monthly status, safety incidents, and major issues; manage risk contingencies and support contract reviews/negotiations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field in the Power & Energy Market (or equivalent experience); PMP certification will be considered.
  • •15+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering or project management within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
  • •5+ years of experience providing engineering services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, etc.
  • •5+ years leading engineering and/or construction teams for medium/high/extra-high voltage power delivery projects.
  • •Advanced proficiency with project management processes and tools, including earned value management, schedule management (CPM/Primavera P6 or equivalent), risk management, change management, and financial management.
