Job Summary

Own functional safety activities for safety-critical application-specific microcontrollers in TI’s ASM business unit. Coordinate 3P assessments with TÜV SÜD/TÜV Rheinland, lead cross-functional teams to create Functional Safety work packages per project FuSa plans, and develop safety collateral such as FMEDA, FMEA, Safety Plan/Concept, and Safety Case documentation. Calculate and report safety metrics (SPFM, LFM, FIT) and apply safety architecture expertise for microcontroller ASICs/SoCs.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate functional safety assessments with 3P assessors (TÜV SÜD/TÜV Rheinland or equivalents) for semiconductor projects.
•Lead cross-functional teams to develop Functional Safety work packages in accordance with project FuSa plans.
•Develop functional safety collateral including FMEDA, FMEA, Safety Plan and Safety Concept, and Safety Case documentation.
•Perform Fault-Injection analysis as part of safety collateral and evidence generation.
•Calculate safety metrics such as SPFM, LFM, and FIT and apply microcontroller safety architecture knowledge for ASICs/SoCs.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor functional safety.
•Practising knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 standards.
•Proven experience coordinating functional safety assessments with 3P assessors (TÜV SÜD, TÜV Rheinland, or equivalent).
•Expertise developing safety collateral including FMEDA, FMEA, Safety Plan/Concept, Safety Case documentation, and Fault-Injection analysis.
•Ability to calculate safety metrics (SPFM, LFM, FIT) and knowledge of safety architecture for microcontroller ASICs/SoCs.
