Key Responsibilities

  • •Use machine learning techniques and insurance market knowledge to develop and implement price optimisation across retail motor brands.
  • •Plan and lead projects, coordinating technical experts and communicating results to stakeholders across the business.
  • •Advise teams on model building and support the full workflow from data extraction to model deployment.
  • •Review and sign off data pipelines, models, and analyses to maintain high-quality, reliable pricing processes.
  • •Provide training and mentoring to upskill colleagues within Pricing and build Allianz’s reputation in price optimisation.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in an insurance pricing role creating and using predictive models in WTW Emblem, WTW Radar, or Python.
  • •Proficiency in data pipeline and analysis tools such as Databricks, SQL, and PySpark.
  • •Ability to review and sign off other team members’ data pipelines, models, and analyses to ensure reliable pricing processes.
  • •Knowledge of price optimisation and the UK regulatory environment, including modelling techniques such as GLMs and GBMs.
  • •Proven ability to plan and manage projects from inception to completion within business timelines.
