Key Responsibilities

  • •Understand and apply design/engineering calculations and tools (including DFSS) on projects under senior guidance.
  • •Assist senior engineers with test procedure/specification preparation and evaluate test results to determine adequacy or needed design modifications.
  • •Support engineering teams with designs for component/subassemblies or simple systems and help drive cost reduction via engineering change proposals.
  • •Prepare engineering drawings to support functional feasibility of design modifications and develop criteria for evaluating total design concepts (with more experience engineers).
  • •Prepare Creo layouts, participate in design reviews/discussions with customers, and assist with root-cause and corrective actions for non-conformances.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or completion of the BS by December 2026.
  • •Ability to use information/access to hardware subject to ITAR and meet ITAR “U.S. person” requirements.
  • •Use design and engineering calculations/tools appropriate to Eaton products, including standardized DFSS tools, under guidance from senior engineers.
  • •Assist in preparing test procedures and specifications and advise laboratory personnel on equipment operation, test requirements, and procedures.
  • •Experience creating 3D CAD models and detailed drawings (preferred).
