Job Summary

Own Solana Foundation’s end-to-end AI ecosystem growth in the Bay Area as the organization’s most senior Silicon Valley presence. Set regional strategy and outcomes, control a dedicated budget, and make funding decisions that seed new teams and initiatives. Build credibility for Solana as the chain for AI-native products by bridging AI/ML, research, and infrastructure communities, while cultivating founder, developer, and VC relationships that drive deal flow and shipped projects.

Job Function: Executive & General Management

Key Responsibilities

•Own Solana Foundation’s regional strategy and outcomes in the Bay Area, setting priorities and being accountable for results.
•Build and maintain the AI × Solana bridge by creating credible, technically grounded relationships across AI/ML startups, research, and infrastructure communities.
•Identify, cultivate, and activate the region’s strongest founders and developers, turning them into long-term Solana ecosystem participants.
•Develop trusted VC and capital relationships with Bay Area VCs, accelerators, and incubators to drive deal flow and co-investment.
•Establish flagship presence through a regional event strategy (e.g., hackathons and founder dinners) and represent the Foundation in high-stakes conversations with investors, founders, and press.

Key Requirements

•A senior operator with a decade or more across venture capital, ecosystem leadership, and company founding or scaling, plus product or growth experience at a top-tier technology organization.
•Deep, earned relationships in the San Francisco Bay Area among founders, investors, and operators that you can activate from day one.
•Fluent in crypto/Solana and able to hold substantive technical conversations with AI founders and researchers.
•Strong capital-allocation judgment: distinguish signal from noise and deploy resources into relationships and bets that compound.
•Based full-time in the San Francisco Bay Area (hard requirement).
