Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide timely and relevant legal support, balancing risk management with delivery of customer solutions.
  • •Negotiate and/or document contracts clearly and concisely, supporting commercial, supply chain and procurement contract review and delivery.
  • •Provide legal support for facilities, including documenting and/or negotiating real estate transactions such as leases and licences.
  • •Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and enhance legal functional tools including precedent documents, legal policies, and training materials; support implementation of policies and processes (anti-bribery and corruption, conflict of interest, probity, ethics, code of conduct).
  • •Support the Chief Counsel and other legal counsel on strategic campaigns and material legal matters, and participate in bid or project teams as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Law degree and other requirements enabling admission to practice in Australia.
  • •Demonstrated recent experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • •Experience in Contract, Commercial, Intellectual Property and Property law (required).
  • •Solid commercial and drafting skills, including contract review and negotiation from a legal perspective.
  • •Experience providing legal support across a variety of transactions; experience in ethics, WHS obligations, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance is desirable.
