Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with selecting approximately 2,700 pedigree birds daily by identifying gender, catching, scanning wing band numbers, and auditing market birds for wing bands.
  • •Properly identify co-op birds assigned to you.
  • •Wash/sanitize approximately 100 coops daily using a commercial pressure washer; maintain clean foot pans and perform weekly sanitation of selection breakroom and equipment.
  • •Support selection setup by loading coops, placing catch frames, hanging lights, setting up scales and scanners, creating coop labels, and running needed cords.
  • •Perform additional duties as assigned, including moving birds for other processing steps and euthanizing weak/ill birds per company policy.

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
