Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and guide implementation of communication strategies and plans in coordination with communication focal points.
  • •Identify success stories and create communications and advocacy products for targeted dissemination.
  • •Organize media events, campaigns, and technical briefings, coordinating between media and WHO experts as required.
  • •Manage website content updates and deliver effective social-media engagements; maintain media monitoring and perception tracking.
  • •Provide specialized emergency and multi-hazard risk communications and advise leadership on strategic internal and external communications; support staff training.

Key Requirements

  • •First university degree in communication, journalism, political science, social sciences, international relations, or a related field from an accredited/recognized institute.
  • •At least five years of relevant communication and/or advocacy experience at national and international levels, including supporting humanitarian emergency or health outbreak response and recovery.
  • •Proven experience writing advocacy documents and producing communication materials and products.
  • •Thorough understanding of public health and international development issues, with solid writing skills.
  • •Expert knowledge of English and Arabic.
