Job Summary

Site Reliability Engineer II responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Mastercard’s essential services. You’ll champion automation, observability, and incident response, mentor teammates, and work to reduce outages through proactive capacity planning and runbook improvements. You’ll design and implement monitoring, scripting, and CI/CD enhancements across cloud and on-prem environments to support high-availability payments platforms.

Key Responsibilities

•Owns elements of projects within the SRE area, applying best practices to achieve quality standards
•Supports implementation and maintenance of high-availability systems to ensure operational stability
•Evaluates operational needs and develops technical solutions under guidance
•Contributes to automation and scripting projects to streamline tasks
•Troubleshoots and resolves system issues, escalating complex problems as needed
•Documents procedures and shares knowledge with the team
•Participates in quality checks to ensure system stability and reliability
•Enables minor enhancements to resolve identifiable issues and may lead smaller initiatives

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 76,000 - 127,000 annually

•Proficient in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)
•Strong Linux/Unix server administration and networking knowledge
•Experience designing/deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

•Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and incident response practices (Splunk, Dynatrace)
