Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly, professional manner.
  • •Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
  • •Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and enunciation.
  • •Maintain professionalism and neutrality, handling high-emotion calls and emergency situations (e.g., 911) calmly.
  • •Follow client instructions and comply with protocol to ensure client expectations are met while safeguarding LEP clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in Palauan and English, with cultural competency and ability to assess regional differences.
