Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage IFRS 17 reporting tools, especially the planning and forecasting model, to support financial resource planning deliverables.
  • •Lead user acceptance testing for the model, manage the model change process, and drive remediation.
  • •Support model risk governance processes and interactions with internal and external audit.
  • •Provide subject matter expertise on the group’s solutions, processes, and controls; produce and communicate analysis to stakeholders.
  • •Support management of the Guangzhou team to deliver projects and execute required controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with a recognised professional body (SOA, IFoA, etc.).
  • •Degree holder in Actuarial Science (or equivalent) with a strong technical insurance background.
  • •Significant insurance experience across areas such as business partnering, IFRS 17 reporting and/or system development.
  • •Strong planning and forecasting knowledge, with life insurance product experience preferred.
  • •Strong understanding of insurance products, actuarial concepts, modelling techniques, and regulatory regimes such as Risk Based Capital.
