Job Summary

Join the Global Services Delivery Team to help Astronomer’s strategic private-cloud customers deploy and run Astro on-prem Apache Airflow clusters. Own assigned accounts, support installations, and set up monitoring/alerting to ensure performance and high availability. Troubleshoot Kubernetes-based infrastructure issues (networking, database connectivity), lead major incident RCA and change impact analysis, and build automation via scripts while relaying customer feedback to Product.

Key Responsibilities

•Support and maintain Astro Private Cloud Apache Airflow installations for customers in on-premise environments.
•Own a small set of assigned strategic accounts, ensuring customers extract maximum value from their Astronomer investment.
•Set up monitoring and alerting metrics and help ensure optimal performance and high availability.
•Troubleshoot Kubernetes-based private-cloud infrastructure issues, including Kubernetes, networking, and database connectivity, and lead major incidents with RCA and change impact analysis.
•Identify and develop automation via scripts for environment monitoring and health checks, and relay improvement ideas to the Product team through customer feedback.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience.
•3-5 years of industry experience.
•Advanced understanding of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
•Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix and ability to set up and debug networking issues.
•Strong comfort interacting with customers across channels (e.g., Slack, email, pair programming) and strong written/oral communication skills.
