Job Summary

Lead media production for the Countdown team as a senior creative and operational producer. You’ll coordinate across internal stakeholders and external partners, own relationships from concept through delivery, and guide creative development across video, audio, and off-stage content. Hire and manage third-party producers and production companies, oversee creator-led media partnerships, and shape stories for each platform with a strong editorial eye and climate-focused fluency.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as main point of contact for all media production across the Countdown team, coordinating internal and external partners to keep projects on track.
•Lead creative development for films, videos, off-stage content, and audio from concept through final delivery.
•Hire and manage third-party producers and production companies, owning those relationships end to end.
•Manage creator-led media partnerships for Countdown and support collaborations that expand reach across platforms.
•Give and receive good notes, hire the right people, and keep productions moving without losing the creative thread.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7–12 years of experience in video journalism, documentary production, or digital media.
•Proven experience leading or supervising production across multiple formats (video and audio).
•Strong editorial and storytelling instincts with a portfolio demonstrating complex story clarity.
•Experience managing external production partners and freelance talent.
•Familiarity with climate, environment, or science journalism (direct coverage or adjacent work).
