Job Summary

Own the end-to-end delivery of generator excitation projects—from requirements and concept design through simulation, testing, and commissioning. Design excitation and synchronous motor excitation systems, develop control logic, and engineer protection and synchronizing components. Lead FAT/SAT, run system start-up at customer sites, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with IEEE/IEC/NEC and grid codes. Configure communications (Modbus/OPC/IEC 61850/DNP3) and maintain ISO-compliant Quality & HSE documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and concept design through simulation, testing, and commissioning.
•Design and develop generator excitation systems and synchronous motor excitation, including circuit drawings, BOMs, control logic, and system graphics.
•Engineer protection and synchronizing systems, and supervise assembly, installation, and testing of excitation systems.
•Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), then lead system start-up and performance validation at customer sites.
•Configure and integrate communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850, DNP3), troubleshoot issues, and maintain ISO-compliant Quality & HSE documentation.

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, control & Instrumentation, or power engineering.
•3 to 8 years of experience in generator excitation systems or related electrical engineering fields.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
•Familiarity with industry standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC, OSHA) and willingness to work in industrial environments with safety protocols.
