Key Responsibilities

  • •Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum structural shapes, tubing, and piping.
  • •Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to required dimensions using standard welding tools, materials, and practices.
  • •Collaborate with the lead welder to confirm proper weld procedures, material type, and rod size for each welding project.
  • •Review engineering drawings/specifications to plan welding operations when procedural information is unavailable.
  • •Continuously improve operations to decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes, working cooperatively with the team.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •1+ years of welding experience in a fabrication environment using at least FCAW or GTAW (including GTAW SCH 10 pipe).
  • •Ability to review engineering drawings/specifications and plan welding operations when procedural information is unavailable.
  • •Ability to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
  • •Ability to meet shift requirements (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday night shifts) and be available for overtime and weekends as needed.
