Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise sustainability leaders at leading companies on accelerating their sustainability programs, leading engagements across target-setting, decarbonization, environmental impact management, and reporting.
  • •Build sustainability intelligence by tracking frameworks, regulations, and market developments and translating them into actionable guidance for internal teams and customers.
  • •Help Watershed develop new products and services by exploring sustainability needs and prototyping value across sustainability, advisory, and technology.
  • •Lead client-facing engagements and manage relationships with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels across industries.
  • •Influence decision-making and move strategic initiatives forward in complex organizations while maintaining a focus on data-driven insights.

Key Requirements

  • •8-12+ years of professional experience including at least 2 years at a consulting firm with demonstrated excellence in client-facing roles and at least 4 years in sustainability (experience can overlap).
  • •Expertise in corporate decarbonization and familiarity with climate frameworks such as GHGP, PCAF, SBTi, ISO, and reporting frameworks such as CSRD, CCDAA, ASRS, ISSB, CDP, etc.
  • •Ability to think clearly about complex problems and be comfortable using and speaking to data; systematic, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communicator; capable of presenting complex analyses to C-suite audiences and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • •Ability to drive strategic initiatives in complex organizations and influence decision-making while managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
