Job Summary

Field Support Technician responsible for installing and maintaining network systems at client sites. You will rack and stack network devices, patch cables, troubleshoot physical layer issues, install Cisco/Avaya IP phones, and perform day-to-day field installation, configuration, and preventative maintenance while coordinating with managers and other teams to meet SLAs.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Manage the day-to-day service operations of installations, delivery and deployment of technical resources within area of responsibility.
•Oversee documentation of issues, action plans and outcomes and distribute within area of responsibility.
•Perform technician work activities and proactively identify and remove barriers to meeting customer expectations; ensure root cause is identified and follow-up on resolutions.
•Support planning and tracking of projects, resource planning and task delegation to achieve project goals.
•Perform installation and service of low voltage cabling, fiber, and related systems; test and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure.
•Patch cabling between network equipment and customer networks; install power cables and equipment in racks and cabinets.

Key Requirements

•Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of carrying a 6-foot ladder
•Must have a working smartphone to access company email and ticketing system
•Must have basic cabling tools/technician tools
•Must know how to use a laptop/email and have basic knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel)
•High school diploma or equivalent
