Key Responsibilities

  • •Recruit, onboard, and develop a new R&D team in China, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and technical excellence.
  • •Lead operational setup of the China R&D center, including infrastructure, tools, and local compliance in collaboration with HR, IT, and Legal.
  • •Translate global product and technology strategies into local execution plans while aligning with global architecture and delivery standards.
  • •Drive development of software components and features for the China market with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance.
  • •Act as a bridge between China-based teams and global stakeholders; mentor engineering leaders; define KPIs, manage budgets, and report progress.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of software R&D experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • •Proven experience building and scaling engineering teams, ideally in a multinational or matrixed environment.
  • •Experience developing or delivering industrial software for customers in China.
  • •Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile and hybrid/cloud architectures.
  • •Fluent in Mandarin and English; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
