Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop enterprise cloud services and distributed-system components for SAP Cloud Infrastructure, supporting European data sovereignty and hyperscaler-grade capabilities.
  • •Implement Kubernetes orchestration features and integrations, including autoscaling and resilient control planes for distributed workloads.
  • •Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure components across multi-region deployments, networking, storage solutions, and system integration.
  • •Design and implement APIs to handle large traffic spikes and support reliable production systems.
  • •Contribute to production systems and customer environments by delivering infrastructure that supports mission-critical performance, reliability, and secure data residency for AI cloud use cases.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience developing in Go or Python, with understanding of concurrent programming, APIs, and distributed systems design.
  • •Hands-on experience operating and developing for Kubernetes in production (cluster management, orchestration, debugging); CKA/CKAD/CKS and Kubernetes operator/controller development are a plus.
  • •Strong OpenStack development/operations experience (Nova/Neutron/Octavia/Cinder/Keystone), including networking/storage troubleshooting, upgrades/automation; Ceph deployment/tuning as storage backends is a plus.
  • •Familiarity with the CNCF ecosystem (e.g., Helm, Prometheus, Flux, Istio) plus Linux fundamentals and container networking.
  • •5+ years of software development experience, with solid Git workflows, CI/CD, test-driven development, code reviews, and experience working in distributed agile teams.
