Embed with enterprise customers as a Forward Deployed Engineer, acting as an extension of their team to manage, optimize, and evolve Cloudflare solutions. Own complex, high-stakes engagements with autonomy—designing and troubleshooting configurations, building prototypes and automation, and delivering security/architecture artifacts. Lead workshops and knowledge transfer, advocate for customer needs, and align technical outcomes with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Embed with the customer’s technical team and operate within their tools, processes, and change-management frameworks.
•Design, configure, and optimize Cloudflare solutions directly in the customer environment, implementing changes and troubleshooting in real time.
•Provide proactive architectural guidance and best-practice recommendations, producing delivery artifacts such as HLDs/LLDs and deployment/migration plans.
•Lead technical workshops and knowledge-transfer sessions, documenting decisions, runbooks, and configurations for continuity.
•Act as the voice of the customer within Cloudflare by surfacing product gaps and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders to support account strategy and expansion.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
•Proven expertise in one or more areas: Applications security (WAF, Bot Management, API Gateway, DDoS, rate limiting), Network (Magic Transit, BYOIP, L3/L4 routing, MPLS/SD-WAN), or Zero Trust / SASE (Access, Gateway, CASB, RBI, DLP).
•Hands-on ability to implement, configure, and troubleshoot complex solutions within customer environments.
•Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) is highly desirable.
•Strong communication and executive presence to translate complex concepts for both technical and executive audiences.
