Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the DMS product vision and multi-year roadmap, converting control outcomes into epics/features with acceptance criteria and benefits tracking.
  • •Partner with Data Technology and Architecture to define target state and make buy/build/configure/retire decisions, including legacy rationalisation and decommissioning.
  • •Lead and develop the Product Owner community across the DMS portfolio, setting ways of working and discovery/prioritisation standards, and orchestrating delivery through matrix teams.
  • •Run portfolio-level prioritisation and capacity allocation, establishing delivery governance to maintain momentum and quality.
  • •Drive adoption and change at scale while ensuring DMS products meet HSBC standards for security, resilience, data privacy/records management, and third-party risk compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong knowledge of data management capabilities and controls including metadata management, data governance, data quality, lineage, classification, privacy, and retention.
  • •Experience leading delivery through matrix technology teams and multiple Product Owners, shaping work without relying on formal reporting lines.
  • •15+ years’ experience in product management, data, technology, or control-related roles, with experience leading a portfolio/team of Product Owners strongly preferred.
  • •Track record delivering complex tooling/platform change with measurable outcomes (e.g., automation, adoption, risk reduction, cost/efficiency).
  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech), Computer Applications (BCA), or Science (BSc in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics).
