Key Responsibilities

  • •Review 1003/URLA and supporting loan documents, including income, credit, employment, assets, liabilities, and REO.
  • •Validate bank statements, large deposits, and source of funds; evaluate Non-QM/DSCR loan scenarios.
  • •Assess appraisal/property/occupancy and calculate/verify LTV/CLTV in line with lending guidelines.
  • •Identify discrepancies across loan files and prepare underwriting summaries, conditions, and stipulations in the LOS (preferably Encompass).
  • •Coordinate with processors and internal stakeholders through the underwriting lifecycle; manage workflow, reconciliation, and daily aging/pipeline reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •US residential mortgage live underwriting experience (2+ years), with live underwriting mandatory.
  • •Strong knowledge of 1003/URLA documentation and income/credit/asset/liability analysis.

  • •Ability to review and assess appraisal/property details, including LTV/CLTV, occupancy, and related documentation.
