Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide senior technical leadership for GFDP‑RDP‑On‑Prem, driving platform resilience, transformation, and uplift across RTB and MTB.
  • •Own technical and product stewardship of Trino/Starburst, including operational stability, performance optimisation, upgrades, standards, and tenant support.
  • •Lead end-to-end tenant onboarding for new use cases, including infrastructure provisioning, ingestion onboarding, ETL enablement, and CI/CD integration for predictable go-live outcomes.
  • •Act as senior technical lead for cross-platform troubleshooting across the full lineage (network/firewalls/load balancers, ingestion, ETL, consumption), delivering permanent fixes and prevention patterns.
  • •Maintain platform controls as ITSO delegate, drive operational excellence through release governance and production readiness, and lead platform modernisation/evergreening and automation to reduce operational toil.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience owning production platform stability in a regulated enterprise environment, including incident/problem management, RCA, and preventative engineering.
  • •Strong experience with distributed query/consumption platforms, ideally Trino/Starburst, including configuration standards, performance tuning, capacity planning, and upgrade execution.
  • •Strong CI/CD and automation experience (e.g., Ansible/Jenkins and Git workflows), including repeatable deployment patterns and operational runbooks.
  • •Experience operating/supporting multi-tenant platforms, including segregation, permissions, controlled deployments, and fair resource utilisation.
  • •Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and advanced troubleshooting, plus networking fundamentals (firewalls, load balancers, connectivity, TLS) and DevSecOps controls (access management, segregation of duties, change management, audit evidence).
