Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver and control a short-term mine plan aligned with the medium-term plan, including mine design requirements.
  • •Execute mine production scheduling and align operations to achieve desired outcomes.
  • •Coordinate load and haul planning as the first point of contact for the mining production team and ensure equipment is applied optimally.
  • •Issue mining control data for surveyors and update relevant personnel on changes to the mine plan.
  • •Plan, organize, and follow up on team work; develop procedures; upskill assistant mining engineers; support continuous improvement and health & safety practices.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years’ experience in a large hard rock open pit mining environment.
  • •Experience in mine scheduling.
  • •Advanced knowledge and experience in mining, including load and haul planning.
  • •Advanced skills in the MS Office suite and mine scheduling software.
  • •B Eng. in Mining Engineering and relevant registrations (EIZ and ERB) plus a current driving license.
