Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Commercial Middle Market Business Development team for the Arizona territory.
  • •Monitor market conditions and competitive landscape; research risk and factors needed to win accounts and confirm gathered information.
  • •Analyze underwriting risk and performance results; prepare reports and recommend action plans to improve territory-level outcomes.
  • •Quote, price, and underwrite new and renewal policies and endorsements for complex accounts while monitoring risk selection and pricing decisions.
  • •Drive agency business planning and relationships: develop sales strategies/processes, communicate product/technology changes, conduct agency visits, and ensure customer service levels.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • •Relevant professional designation such as CPCU or CIC is preferred.
  • •Ten years of progressively more responsible underwriting and sales experience in commercial lines of business is preferred.
  • •Extensive working knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing, coverage, and company sales/underwriting standards and philosophies.
  • •Strong sales, marketing, and agency relationship management skills with demonstrated decision-making and independent judgment.
