Job Summary

Own and operate Starlink’s UPW and ZLD wastewater treatment systems to maintain reliable water quality for high-volume PCB and chip-packaging manufacturing. Monitor and troubleshoot RO/EDI/UV/filtration and wastewater processes, perform sampling and data logging, respond to alarms and excursions, and execute startup/shutdown procedures. Partner with manufacturing, EHS, and engineering to optimize water usage, uptime, quality, and sustainability while following OSHA/EPA safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and monitor UPW systems, including RO, EDI, UV disinfection, and filtration.
•Manage wastewater treatment processes such as neutralization, evaporators, precipitation/clarification, dewatering, and crystallization.
•Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on pumps, valves, sensors, membranes, and control systems.
•Conduct daily water quality sampling and analysis (e.g., TOC, silica, metals, conductivity) and maintain data logs.
•Respond to alarms and excursions with corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain required system availability.

Key Requirements

•High school degree or equivalency certificate.
•2+ years of experience in a hands-on technical position OR an associate’s degree in a STEM field.
•Strong knowledge of water chemistry and wastewater technologies, including ion exchange and RO/EDI systems.
•Proficiency with water quality instrumentation and basic PLC troubleshooting.
•Ability to read and understand P&ID and schematic wiring diagrams, and perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
