Job Summary

Own statutory reporting and audit coordination for assigned business units, ensuring regulatory submissions and high-quality financial stewardship. Lead month-end close activities, manage balance sheet integrity, and strengthen internal controls and reconciliations with IFRS compliance (including IFRS 16 leases). Govern forecasting processes and variance analysis, provide deep technical IFRS expertise, and drive continuous improvement through automation and better financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

•Account for statutory reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory submissions for assigned business units, responding to complex audit queries
•Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliation governance and resolution of long-outstanding items, ensuring IFRS compliance
•Lead and oversee month-end close activities, including compiling complex journal entries and ensuring alignment with group reporting standards
•Own and govern forecasting governance, maintain forecasting models, and perform variance analysis to provide management insight
•Provide technical accounting expertise on complex IFRS matters (e.g., prepayments, intercompany accounting, revenue recognition) and reduce reliance on external advisors

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
•AGA(SA) qualification highly advantageous
•Financial accounting experience within a complex or multinational organisation
•Proven experience managing statutory reporting and audit processes
•Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous)
