Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide appropriate lending decisions for small business and consumer loan requests, including real estate loans, term loans, and lines of credit.
  • •Review applications for suitability to FirstBank lending policies and goals while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
  • •Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility.
  • •Obtain, compile, and review credit histories, corporate financial statements, and supporting documentation (including income documentation).
  • •Identify application and credit trends and inform management while ensuring compliance requirements are met (including BSA/AML, OFAC, and information security).

Key Requirements

  • •3 years’ experience as a Small Business or Consumer Underwriter or Portfolio Manager (or similar) for a financial institution.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.
  • •Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to explain loan terms, features, policies, and benefits.
  • •Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills.
  • •Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
