Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist journeyman HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
  • •Learn to inspect, test, and diagnose HVAC equipment under supervision and support preventive maintenance activities.
  • •Assist with installation and service of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, air handlers, pumps, and related HVAC systems.
  • •Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • •Follow Honeywell, customer, OSHA, and union safety requirements; maintain service documentation and communicate job progress; complete apprenticeship training and participate in Local 412 classroom instruction.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 0-1 year of basic mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn the HVAC trade.
  • •Current membership in, or eligibility to join, Local 412.
  • •Ability to safely use hand and power tools and pass background checks and drug screening for customer sites.
  • •Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to perform physically demanding work (including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders).
  • •Ability to travel throughout the Albuquerque, NM area and surrounding markets.
