Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs, in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems (electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and HVAC).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using tools such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Accurately complete DOT forms and Repair Orders, documenting work and uploading photos via the company iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Due to interstate commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
