Key Responsibilities

  • •Define, implement, and document new security features for product teams.
  • •Analyze, fix, and test vulnerabilities in open source software and Ubuntu.
  • •Audit and analyze source code for vulnerabilities and integrate security tools into pipelines and processes.
  • •Extend and enhance Linux cryptographic components to meet compliance requirements such as FIPS and Common Criteria.
  • •Contribute to upstream open source projects, design hardening automation for Ubuntu, and guide other teams on security best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong academic track record through high school and university.
  • •Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
  • •Thorough understanding of common categories of security vulnerabilities and how to fix them.
  • •Knowledge of modern software engineering techniques and familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies.
  • •Skill in one or more of C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript/Typescript; experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
