Architect and operate the database infrastructure powering Claude’s products and Anthropic research. Own database strategy across a core database platform, data movement (migrations, backfill, CDC), and caching—scaling systems to billions of API requests and 100x+ growth. Partner with product and research teams to build reliable, multi-cloud storage spanning GCP and AWS so engineers can ship without worrying about scaling, performance, or cost.

•Significant experience building and operating production database or storage systems.

•Track record of leading large, complex infrastructure projects as an engineer or tech lead.
•Ability to balance rapid iteration with production reliability needs.
