Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate backend services enforcing regional boundaries for customer data across a globally distributed edge network.
  • •Deliver end-to-end features by writing designs/RFCs, implementing services/libraries, and owning production operations with tests and observability.
  • •Collaborate with adjacent platform, cryptography, networking, data, and product teams to integrate residency guarantees without harming performance or reliability.
  • •Reason about failure modes and consistency; design systems that fail closed for compliance while degrading gracefully for availability.
  • •Participate in on-call, lead incident response/post-mortems, and continuously improve reliability, capacity planning, and cost.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years designing, building, and operating production distributed systems at scale.
  • •Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or C/C++ with willingness to work in other languages as needed.
  • •Core distributed systems fundamentals: consistency/consensus, replication/sharding/partitioning, and real-world failure modes.
