Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage all aspects of plant maintenance to ensure safe conditions and regulatory compliance, partnering with management to maintain a safe work environment.
  • •Independently lead a large maintenance team across multiple shifts via subordinate supervisors to keep production machinery and facilities/grounds in optimal condition.
  • •Establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs and determine work order priorities for repairs, maintenance, and equipment installation.
  • •Supervise maintenance department personnel to minimize downtime and costs while maximizing accountability, productivity, and efficiency.
  • •Administer budgets within approved limits and implement cost-saving/standardization opportunities in conjunction with operating teams, while enforcing SOPs and safety initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field; combination of five (5) years’ education and experience may substitute for degree.
  • •Minimum three (3) years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting; five (5)+ years in the food/protein industry is strongly preferred.
  • •Minimum three (3) years of experience managing a large team across multiple shifts.
  • •Knowledge of food processing systems, including SPC and CAD.
  • •Experience supporting utility functions (refrigeration/freezing systems, boilers, HVAC, PLC controls); bread and batter equipment experience is a plus.
