Job Summary

Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects for public and private sector clients from the Portland, ME office. Assist assigned project managers in directing project execution, advising technical direction, and coordinating stakeholders to deliver results on time and within budget. Monitor costs, risks, and schedules; support reporting and billing; plan resourcing; manage subcontractor procurement and performance; ensure deliverable quality; and contribute to proposals as you build toward independently managing projects within 18–24 months.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist assigned project managers in directing project execution, advising technical direction, and interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
•Monitor project costs, risks, and schedule to help meet project objectives.
•Support monthly reporting and billing, including timely payment collection.
•Plan tasks, scheduling, and resourcing prior to project start.
•Manage procurement strategy for subcontracted scope and work with task leads to manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality deliverables and contributing to proposals.

Key Requirements

•BS or MS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
•7 to 10 years of task management or assistant project management experience in environmental investigations and remediation, including coordinating subcontractors.
•Registered Professional Engineer, Licensed Geologist, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent credential preferred.
•Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
•Driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites (20% anticipated).
