Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute governance of railway safety activities for licensing and monitoring in line with railway legislation.
  • •Develop and implement railway safety certification and regulation processes aligned with approved legislations, policies, and international best practices.
  • •Conduct periodic safety inspections of railway systems and operators to verify compliance.
  • •Perform judicial control actions against violators and take action under applicable railway legislation.
  • •Evaluate safety licenses and certification requests for operators and third parties, and support incident investigation and expert safety guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Risk Management, Business Administration, Public Policy, or Data/Analytics.
  • •6+ years experience with a Master’s (8+ years with a Bachelor’s).
  • •Experience in safety from a safety-critical industry.
  • •Ability to review safety certification applications and provide feedback to the section manager.
  • •Provide and apply technical safety judgement for emerging transportation modes, including autonomous vehicles.
