Job Summary

Drive railway safety certification and regulation across the Emirate by executing safety governance for licensing and monitoring. Conduct periodic safety inspections, evaluate safety licenses, and support judicial enforcement against violators. Embed safety into management and work practices, review certification applications, and issue/prepare certificates. Provide incident feedback and expert judgment to improve processes and support emerging transport modes, including autonomous vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute governance of railway safety activities for licensing and monitoring in line with railway legislation.
•Develop and implement processes for safety certification and regulation using approved legislations, policies, standards, and benchmarks.
•Conduct periodic safety inspections of railway systems and operators to verify license and legislative compliance.
•Perform judicial control duties and take action against violators under applicable railway legislation.
•Evaluate and review safety licenses and certification applications; prepare and issue safety certificates for operators and third parties.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Risk Management, Business Administration, Public Policy, or Data/Analytics.
•6+ years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 8+ years with a Bachelor’s degree.
•Experience in safety from a safety-critical industry.
•Conduct governance for licensing and monitoring aligned with approved railway legislation and policies.
•Review safety certification applications and provide feedback to the section manager; prepare safety certificates per approved processes.
