Key Responsibilities

  • •Test all manufactured items, including systems and assemblies, and rework or modify units/systems as needed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • •Attend daily Tier 1 meetings and coordinate with production supervision to keep the department running smoothly and meet OTD expectations.
  • •Liaise with engineering to feed back problems/issues and pass information back on resolutions for drawings/schematics updates.
  • •Perform system/unit testing in production, working safely with high and low voltage systems and communicating safety concerns promptly.
  • •Support Lean culture by assisting with improvement and waste reduction (ELSS) projects, creating work instructions, and helping train other team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Background in domestic, commercial, or industrial electrical installation and test or control panel/electrical system wiring and test with at least 2 years’ experience.
  • •Electrical or test engineering qualification (BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • •Knowledge of safe electrical working practices.
  • •Ability to perform electrical safety, flash, and earth continuity testing and fault-find electrical/electronic systems to component level.
  • •Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring schematics.
