Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as technical lead for HV primary circuit engineering on substation projects (AIS/GIS) from concept through detail design and construction support.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with project managers, clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure compliance, constructability, and timely delivery.
  • •Develop and review HV primary circuit designs, including substation layouts, equipment arrangements, busbar configurations, and HV cable systems.
  • •Contribute to power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, and equipment rating assessments) and ensure technical consistency with protection requirements.
  • •Provide expert support during construction/commissioning and mentor junior and intermediate engineers by reviewing designs and supporting technical development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), with a master’s degree preferred.
  • •10+ years of experience in T&D primary circuit design and project management, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • •Experience delivering high-voltage primary circuit projects, including substation design and HV cable systems.
  • •Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including IEC and IEEE (and related local grid requirements).
  • •Proficiency with engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD), plus excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
