Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and drive multi-year enterprise data platform architecture vision and roadmap, including tradeoffs and buy/build/adopt decisions.
  • •Serve as the platform technical decision-maker across data engineering, analytics engineering, AI/ML platform, security, and data ops; evaluate and pilot emerging technologies via POCs.
  • •Define and maintain Snowflake platform standards (naming, schema/database layout, warehouse tiers, role hierarchy, environment promotion) and RBAC permission models using least privilege.
  • •Design and operate governed dbt Mesh/data mesh boundaries across business domains and establish integration standards for orchestration and ingestion tools.
  • •Build AI/agentic data infrastructure (Snowflake patterns and MCP server) and create evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, hallucination risk, and governed-data coverage.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in data or platform engineering, including 3+ years owning Snowflake account/platform operations at enterprise scale.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • •Demonstrated architectural judgment balancing standardization, domain autonomy, cost, security, performance, and buy/build/adopt decisions at enterprise scale.
  • •Experience designing RBAC permission models, including least-privilege patterns and service-user provisioning with SSO/Okta for Snowflake.
  • •Ability to translate platform strategy for business, technical, and executive audiences and influence technical direction without direct authority.
