Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using an approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, feature trade-off/​trade tables, should-cost/clean sheet models, and joint design development via statements of work.
  • •Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing.
  • •Lead cost engineering and value-stream activities (e.g., complexity reduction and lead-time optimization) to converge toward bottoms-up cost targets and reduce total cost of ownership.

Salary: USD 126,000 - 189,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
  • •5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate if not already local to be onsite in Huntsville, AL.
