Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and administer training programs, including classroom and laboratory/simulator instruction, to support qualification programs at Callaway Energy Center.
  • •Prepare, administer, and grade examinations; evaluate trainee performance and maintain accurate training documentation.
  • •Support implementation of Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) into plant procedures and processes.
  • •Monitor condition reports and industry trends for operating experience applicability and incorporate improvements into lesson plans.
  • •Provide refueling outage support, participate in plant activities/field time to maintain qualifications, and assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • •Two (2) or more years of relevant professional/journey level experience (for Nuclear Technical Instructor) or five (5) or more years (for Senior Technical Instructor).
  • •Relevant experience includes engineering or experience in the instructional focus area (e.g., mechanical, electrical, I&C maintenance, or rad/chem) or experience as a technical instructor.
  • •Previous training instructor experience in a National Academy for Nuclear Training accredited program is preferred.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic understanding of Computer Based Training and knowledge of Learning Management Systems are preferred.
