Job Summary

Own finance and accounting processes for month-end and year-end closing, statutory reporting, and day-to-day management of cost, cash, and P&L. Ensure compliance with CAE policies and local regulations, IFRS, and relevant legislation. Analyze costs and performance variances, support forecasting and budgeting, and partner with auditors, tax, and legal consultants across Malaysia and Montreal finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage end-to-end accounting functions including AR, AP, and GL; reconcile balance sheet and perform P&L analysis.
•Perform cost and sales results analysis and provide variance explanations based on actual performance.
•Ensure accounting processes are compliant with CAE and local policies, accurate, and completed on time.
•Lead month-end/year-end closing and prepare the financial package.
•Support monthly forecasting and budgeting and coordinate with auditors, tax, and legal consultants for statutory filings and reporting.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor degree in finance or accounting.
•Minimum 8 years in accounting and financial management practices.
•Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting.
•Proficiency with ERP accounting software, Excel, and other MS tools.
•Experience with company tax compliance in a multi-country environment in Asia.
