Key Responsibilities

  • •Navigate and shape the public policy environment, including excise/customs duties/tax, international trade and market access, and alcohol & public health issues.
  • •Deliver internal and external corporate communications, including cultural transformation communications, media relations, public policy/society campaigns, and issues/crisis communications.
  • •Develop and implement a society agenda aligned to Diageo’s Spirit of Progress strategy, including positive drinking, social impact, and sustainability (water replenishment).
  • •Own and build trusted stakeholder relationships with government, trade associations, industry bodies, social organizations, and civil society/NGOs.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven Corporate Relations (CR) leadership experience, ideally in highly regulated multinational environments, trade associations, or agencies.
  • •Mature executive presence partnering with senior business leaders (including MD/GM level), leading small agile CR teams, and executing through trade associations.
  • •Ability to operate in a matrix structure and implement global strategies/initiatives at the local market level.
  • •Strong capabilities and background in public policy, government relations and/or strategic communications.
