Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop avionics mounting architectures, including shock and vibration isolation, structural load paths, serviceability, and connector access.
•Own avionics enclosure and electronics packaging design with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques such as grounding/bonding strategies, shielding effectiveness, cable entry management, conductive gasketing, filtered connectors, and enclosure seam design.
•Design and release wire harnesses, including routing, connector selection, strain relief, bend-radius compliance, abrasion protection, shielding termination, grounding schemes, and maintainability.
•Support avionics thermal integration by developing conductive and convective heat rejection paths, component-level thermal budgets, and validating performance through testing.
•Develop and execute environmental qualification testing for integrated avionics assemblies, including vibration, shock, thermal cycling, ingress protection, and support for EMI/EMC testing.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on avionics integration, electronics packaging, or wire harness design (professional, academic, or hobby/project experience considered).
•Strong experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for mechanical design and detailed drawings.
•Practical experience with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques, enclosure design, and wire harness routing/integration.
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
•Demonstrated hands-on experience owning end-to-end hardware development and integration efforts (e.g., student aerospace/rocketry teams, UAV projects, automotive electronics integration, or similar).
