Job Summary

Operate and maintain Pilgrim's Arcadia water treatment facilities on day shift. Perform daily monitoring, inspections, and preventative maintenance; conduct lab testing of effluent, adjust processes to stay within discharge limits, and maintain accurate records. Training opportunities and growth through the Supervisor Development Program and Management Trainee Program are available.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain the Water Treatment Department on a daily basis, performing tasks as assigned and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
•Monitor and inspect water treatment systems, controls, and related equipment; document readings and ensure proper function.
•Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate with maintenance for repairs as needed.
•Conduct daily monitoring/lab testing of water treatment effluent for process control and adjust as necessary to stay within discharge limits.
•Assist with recordkeeping, data entry, and organizational duties to support plant operations and reporting.

Key Requirements

•1-2 years of experience in the operations and maintenance of water treatment plants and associated equipment and distribution systems.
•Must possess or obtain within 12 months of employment a Water Treatment Operator Certification.
•Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language to communicate effectively.
•Must have knowledge of maintenance/water treatment terminology to communicate with the department and technical staff.
•Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
