Key Responsibilities

  • •Run MRP and BOM explosions for mechanical SKUs against the MPS, netting requirements against on-hand, on-order, and in-transit inventory.
  • •Maintain and refresh Clear-to-Build (CTB) coverage status by SKU and work center, accounting for supplier fabrication capacity constraints.
  • •Identify potential material shortages ahead of floor execution and escalate to Strategic Sourcing for expedite or dual-source actions while tracking resolution.
  • •Share rolling forecasts with mechanical and fabrication suppliers, secure lead-time and capacity commitments, and feed commitments back into MRP within negotiated frameworks.
  • •Set and maintain item-level ERP planning parameters (order policy, lot sizing, lead times, safety stock, make/buy flags, time fences) at MBOM release.

Key Requirements

  • •2–5+ years of dedicated material planning or MRP experience, ideally with fabricated metal or related mechanical assemblies.
