Job Summary

Fabricate and repair metal components for equipment and plant operations by cutting, fitting, and welding sheet metal and other metals safely and efficiently. Interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions for daily projects, perform repairs and maintenance using common shop tools, and fabricate parts with welding machines and oxy-acetylene torches. Conduct pre- and post-inspections, maintain welding equipment, and uphold OSHA/MSHA safety rules and PPE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely cut, lay out, fit, and weld sheet metal and other metals or alloys to fabricate or repair equipment
•Interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions for daily projects
•Perform repairs and plant maintenance using grinders, wire brushes, cutting torches, and other welding tools
•Fabricate parts and components with welding machines and oxy-acetylene torches
•Conduct pre- and post-inspections and uphold OSHA/MSHA safety regulations and PPE requirements
