Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and lead the overall procurement function for Defence activities in Canada across TCDS and TOCA, covering sourcing, supplier vetting/onboarding, category, and supplier management.
  • •Deploy consistent regional sourcing strategies aligned with global strategies, group policies, and applicable regulations/compliance.
  • •Oversee implementation of common procurement processes and tools to meet budgetary, timing, and quality constraints.
  • •Monitor Procurement KPIs to drive accountability for financial, delivery, and quality metrics; manage local procurement team resources.
  • •Support complex contract activities including supplier selection and contract negotiation, and ensure contractual obligations are met by subcontractors.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • •10+ years’ procurement experience in a technical environment, ideally maritime.
  • •At least 5 years leading sourcing (supplier vetting/onboarding), process/tool implementation, and category/supplier management.
  • •At least 5 years leading people through coaching, mentoring, onboarding, and career development.
  • •Experience monitoring Procurement KPIs for financial, delivery, and quality outcomes, and ensuring contractual coverage for subcontractors.
